Mark attended the Marylebone Interfaith Service this evening, held in the London Fo Guang Shan Temple in Margaret Street.
With members from a wide variety of faith groups in attendance, including those of the Jewish, Islamic, Christian and Buddhist faiths, the service provides an annual call for peace and harmony between neighbours in our capital city.
Mark thoroughly enjoyed the service and spoke a few words in support of this important date in Marylebone’s calendar. He said, ‘In the core of our city, where residents have such a rich variety of backgrounds, the Marylebone Interfaith Service provides an important reminder that within that diversity there is great unity. I was glad to be able to join in this happy event and was touched by the inspiring display of faith, strength and harmony amongst those in our constituency’.
