I am delighted to learn that two local charities, Create Arts Limited and The Bounce Back Foundation, have been successful in securing funding raised by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.
Create Arts Limited have been awarded £19,884 from the Postcode Community Trust for their art:links project. This funding will allow Create to run workshops with frail older people to enable them to be creative, social and active, reducing isolation and enhancing wellbeing.
The Bounce Back Foundation has been awarded £20,000 from the People’s Postcode Trust for their project ‘Castle Lane Community Training and Pathways into Employment for Marginalised Young People’. This project will support disadvantaged young people to build positive futures, enter sustainable employment & reach their potential.
Malcolm Fleming, Head of Public Affairs at People’s Postcode Lottery, said:
“We are delighted that our players are helping to fund local charities across the country, including Create Arts Limited and The Bounce Back Foundation. People’s Postcode Lottery was established to raise funds for good causes. Supporting the excellent work of local charities can help them make a huge difference to the causes and communities they serve.”
To date, players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £393 million for over 5,500 good causes across Great Britain.
I encourage any other local charities needing additional project funding to considering applying to the Postcode Community Trust, the Postcode Local Trust or the People’s Postcode Trust. This type of funding can help you achieve more for your charity and the local community.
The next funding round opens on 31 July. For more information, please visit the Trusts’ websites below:
