I was very pleased to visit InterContinental’s newest hotel yesterday which is nearing the end of its £150 million transformation in the Westminster segment of my constituency. This considerable investment underlines InterContinental’s long term confidence in Westminster as a place to conduct business.
The hotel is set to be the first InterContinental to have opened in London for some thirty six years and the creation of 180 jobs will act as a welcome boost to the local economy. I was particularly impressed by the hotel’s first class conferencing facilities and ambitious plan to create a destination restaurant and bar.
The hotel is set to open in the former Government building, Queen Anne’s Chambers in St James’s, and I should like to wish InterContinental the very best for the opening at the end of November.
